This Series wone 2 RTS Award. In 2006 and 2007. The 11 episodes were shown from 2005 to 2007.

“North One Television, the production company behind ITV’s F1 shows, won the Sports Innovation Award for its ‘F1 Insight’ series of features which first aired at last year’s British Grand Prix. Under Kevin Chapman’s direction, Brundle presented four features intricately explaining how a Formula 1 car works with the help of cutting-edge graphics. Damon O’Connell supervised and coordinated the special effects. On average, each episode took approximately four days to edit, 200 man hours in 3D design, two days’ audio dubbing and a final day to package all the elements. By using real time video and 3D animation, the viewer was taken right to the heart of F1. The jury described the features as “succinct, sparky and brilliantly informative, with state-of-the-art graphics.”
